Thüle Zoo and Theme Park

The zoo and theme park is located in the middle of the Thülsfelder reservoir area. After letting off a bit of steam in the theme park with its numerous rides, its off on a tour of the zoo. You can discover more than 120 different types of animals in large enclosures designed specifically for the animals within them.

A particular attraction is the variety of apes and monkeys, with marmosets, barbary apes, gibbons and ring-tailed lemurs. The barbary ape enclosure is one of the real highlights, with a walkway running directly over the heads of the apes into the enclosure. Children can make direct contact with the animals in the petting zoo and you can walk right through the large aviary, whilst scarlet ibises and cattle egrets flutter about your head.
