Residence Museum at Celle Castle
The Residenzmuseum brings to life court history and court tales in one of the oldest and largest completely preserved Guelph castles in Germany: Celle, as the baroque royal residence, was the place of exile for the Danish Queen Caroline Mathilde, and the summer residence of Hanoverian Kings in the 19th century - the castle is a monument in stone of Guelph tradition and history. The baroque state rooms are abundant with stuccoed ceilings of Italian masters, while other rooms impress by representing the sovereigns of the Celle lineage which once produced the Kings of Prussia and Great Britain.
