Land-Kamerun is an unusual and beautiful stretch of countryside between heathland and the river Elbe. The Juniorclub children's hotel is located just under 100 kilometres south-east of Hamburg, by the glacial valley of the Elbe floodplain. The hotel is a meeting place for children and young people for holiday camps, school trips and weekends. The idea behind the Juniorclub children's hotel is to apply hotel ways of thinking to a children's guesthouse. All the guests are looked after individually and personally and buffet meals are standard. The Juniorclub was awarded the "Impulse Niedersachsen 2002“ prize for this innovative concept in 2002.
Sport and nature for children
Each guest can put together his or her own individual programme from the extensive range of activities on offer. Sports on offer include riding holidays, golf, computer and football camps. The focus is, however, the clubs many animals - horses, ponies, dogs, cats, rabbits, Jolante the pig and Bimba the donkey. The kids particularly love the more than 70 friendly horses and ponies, enough for everyone to have their own horse for the riding instruction.
