The Weserberglandweg/ Wesergebirgsweg leads from its most southerly point in Hann.Münden, the Weser's "birthplace", along 210 fascinating kilometres through the Weserberg region to Porta Westfalica. A journey through a region rich in legend, past imposing stately homes and romantic castles, through the living high moorland, game parks and virgin forest.
The route crosses the Rheinhardswald, rich in legends, where you'll find Cinderella's castle at Sababurg. In a land of fairy-tales and legends, it shouldn't be a surprise to find yourself walking in the footsteps of famous figures. You may come across such enigmatic characters as Baron von Münchhausen and the Pied Piper of Hamelin along the picturesque towns along the way.
