Rollerblading: Niedersachsen Goes Off the Rails!
The Maschsee in Hanover - a paradise for rollerbladersHanover isn't just the state capital of Niedersachsen, but also a real rollerblading stronghold! In summer especially, the 6.5 km long tarmaced route around the Maschsee is ideal for a circular tour - where its all about seeing and being seen. Or relax at the "Inliner-Biergarten" with a hockey court, obstacle course, half pipes and skateboard track. Or there's the rollerblading school, where rollerbladers of all levels of ability can learn something new.
Night skating in HanoverThe highpoint of the rollerblading season in Hanover is the night skates through the city. Up to 11,000 rollerbladers of all levels of ability cover the various routes on the "Skatebynight" event. Beginners can take a crash course (!) beforehand at the Hanover rollerblading school, where the focus is on braking.
Rollerblading in AmmerlandWith an extensive network away from the traffic through charming parkland countryside, Westerstede in Ammerland is a magnet for rollerbladers. The diverse courses are described in the "Skate-Guide Ammerland“ brochure and run past huge hedges, rhododendrons and thatched half-timbered houses.

In Frisia, with its austere Frisian landscape and home to the Wadden Sea and good healthy North Sea air, we can do so with a clear conscience. It's a real paradise for rollerbladers and cyclists. Glide along the dikes, race the black and white cows along the edge of the road or make a stop for a cup of traditional Frisian tea or a Jever pils.

But it's not yet standing room only, so order the guide to selected suggested routes.
